"The Recording Shed" Studios provides professional audio post-production and voiceover recording services for broadcast, corporate television, radio, new-media and multimedia. From voice over recording to complex tracklaying, mixing, using the very latest technology, we provide the full range of audio post services. Whatever your project, large or small.

Audio post-production can involve a variety processes; the amount of time and effort involved is dependent on the nature of the project and your requirements. The post-production audio services available at "The Recording Shed Studio" are as follows.

Audio Editing and Mixing:
All post-production is performed at 32-bit resolution, up to 5:1 surround sound digital mixing on practically unlimited numbers of audio tracks. SMPTE/MIDI synchronisation and 12 high quality 24-bit 48kHz balanced analogue inputs and outputs and stereo.

Foley Post-Production:
Foley post-production is available to add dynamic, attention-grabbing (or subtle) sound effects to your soundtrack either from our large sound effects library, or custom effects produced to your specific requirements in-house.

Audio Processing and Mastering:
Quality audio processing under the control of an experienced engineer can make an enormous difference to the audio soundtrack and create that 'impact, full-immersive viewer experience'. As well as very high quality outboard hardware units, we also have numerous professional-quality plug-ins running on the workstations. This processing in conjunction with DVD and CD mastering software allows us to produce CD masters to the highest standard, or efficiently convert high-bandwidth audio to small compressed audio clips for use in new media applications.

The studio is a small independent recording environment ideally suited to the acoustic style of Solo/Duo artists looking to produce a single recording or album on a low budget, but with maximum quality and assistance from a competent recording engineer.

Recording studios seem to fall into two main types, either full size commercial studios that are expensive to hire and often out of the reach of ordinary people, or are a studio set up specifically for the requirements of the owner (often the singer/recording artist).

Although I am a musician (trained at the military music school 1967-1971), my main interest now is recording. I am enthusiastic about creating high quality recordings of individual singers, songwriters, musicians etc; this includes mastering and producing the final mix to CD.
